“ I have been to Clove Garden several times. The staff is always very helpful and down to earth. The food is especially tasty, including an eggplant appetizer which is my favorite. They will often offer extra sauces at no extra charge. There is a choice of both vegan and vegetarian options, depending upon your preference for dairy. I also like it as an ideal place to host a special event, since people who are attending can either drive and park nearby or they can take the Path train to Grove Street from Manhattan. ”

The korma was incredibly rich and creamy, and full of a variety of vegetables. Curries come with rice as well. I really enjoyed the food here, and appreciated the extra spicy option for added kick. ”

“ My favorite Indian spot in downtown JC. Great service - great food. No idea how authentic but I don't care about that anyway as long as the food is good. Mostly I take out but you can dine in. Never seen it busy inside personally. A bit dark and feels dirty as a result. Ordering tip - alway request your spice level. Default is spicy in my opinion. So if you don't like it that way, you need to clarify in advance. As a reference point, until I ate here, I used to order from Karma cafe in Hoboken. Haven't been back since trying Clove Garden. ”

“ the vibes are immaculate! I got take out from here but when I went in it was very pretty and nice and smelled amazing! The man who handed me my food was very sweet and they got the order done super quick! So I can't speak too much of the service as a dine in guest but everyone was very nice at the front! And now for the important stuff- the food! 10/10 will be making this my go to Indian spot! The food is absolutely delicious! When I first got handled it I thought it was a little light but after eating it. I realized it was just so rich and filling I could barely get through half of the meal I'm a big butter chicken fan and chicken tikka masala fan and I've tried it from a lot of different places! This was honestly one of the best ones. I just think it's so flavorful and delicious it's iconic. I will be going back to try some other dishes if theirs for sure!! YUMMMMM ”

“ First of all, despite the first picture that said "lunch buffet 7 days a week" from "business owner". They do not offer buffets on Sundays. I was a bit disappointed as we went specifically for the buffet. We tried a few dishes and most were great, I personally loved the deep fried cauliflower appetizer dish. The sauce was delicious and the breading was soft and fluffy. However, they must be eaten hot as they were rock hard when I tried to finish the last few pieces at end of the meal. The bread basket was a hit with the kids, I personally liked the garlic nann the best. The lamb korma was spicy, which I loved, however be prepared if you don't like spicy food. It's not for the faint of heart. I was extremely disappointed with the mixed grill. The menu was ambiguous and it was my fault for not asking about the specifics. I was hoping for a mix of proteins, however they only included chicken and a couple of pieces of shrimp. The chicken was mostly white meat and extremely dry (ie over cooked). The server was very nice and friendly, however, the wait for food was very long even though there were only 2 other tables occupied at the restaurant. We waited approximately 30 minutes for the food to come out. I shudder to think how long the wait would be during rush hours. Overall, the dishes were above average for 3 out of 4 dishes. We would come back again. ”
